Artemis 3 will also feature a new, upgraded Orion heat shield, which is designed to withstand the extreme conditions of re-entry into Earth's atmosphere at a record-breaking speed of 25,000 mph. Additionally, the astronauts may have the opportunity to enter at least one lander test article, further enhancing the mission's scientific value.
